This Terms and Conditions document governs the use of Birkenstock online store including shopping and participation in promotions run by Birkenstock. You can access this Agreement at any time from the bottom of any page of the site.

Purchasing from birkenstock.co.nz
Birkenstock.co.nz gives customers convenient, easy and secure shopping. Products displayed on the site shopping areas can be purchased using a secure online credit card transaction facility. Customers can be confident that all their details are protected by the latest security mechanisms and are used only for purposes of the transaction fulfillment. You will be given the option to register as a member of Birkenstock.co.nz. Your shipping address details will be filed saving you the effort of entering these details each time you purchase. This is optional and purchases can easily be made without having to register.

New Zealand sales only:
We only sell and ship Products within New Zealand. We cannot make deliveries outside of New Zealand.

Pricing:
All prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZ$) and include GST (15% sales tax). All prices are correct at time of publication however, we reserve the right to alter prices for any reason.

Payment:
Payment can be made by Visa, Mastercard, and Debit Card.

Colours:
Every effort has been made to portray the colours of our products that appear on this website as accurately as possible. However, because the actual colours you see depend on the monitor you are using, we cannot guarantee that the online display of any colour will be completely accurate.

Security:
We use the secure Hosted Payment page solution from DPS to process online orders. Customers can see their cards being authorised and debited in real time, all in an SSL secure environment. The Hosted Payment page enables us to offer customers a safe and speedy online shopping experience. DPS is committed to protecting the security of your data. A variety of security technologies and procedures are used to help protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. When we transmit sensitive information (such as a credit card numbers) over the internet, we protect it using encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

Use of birkenstock.co.nz by you:
Your right to use birkenstock.co.nz is personal to you. You are responsible for all your own use of the service. You may not download, modify, transmit, or otherwise use any material from the site for public or commercial purposes. The sites content, information and advice is free of charge (unless otherwise stipulated). However, you are responsible for your own network and connection charges.

Children:
birkenstock.co.nz will over time provide content and information which children may find interesting and may wish to access. However, no one under the age of 13 years can provide any personal information. Minors under the age of 18 years are prohibited from making purchases on the service.

Counterfeit warning:
We have been made aware that counterfeit Birkenstock's are being sold in various places around the world on market stalls, Facebook Marketplace, Ebay, and Trade Me. We cannot be held responsible in any way for these products.

GIFT CARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Gift Cards are a convenient way to give the gift of Birkenstock products. They are usable online at birkenstock.co.nz and at our Birkenstock Newmarket, Takapuna & Christchurch stores.

When purchasing a gift card online, simply choose a value from the buttons. Your Birkenstock Gift Card will be emailed to the recipient address specified, an order confirmation email will also be sent to the sender address. Alternatively, you can visit us in store to purchase, and specify any value. You can also add a personal message to the card carrier for in store purchases.

Gift card redemption:
Birkenstock Gift Cards are redeemable at our Birkenstock Newmarket, Takapuna & Christchurch stores, and online at Birkenstock.co.nz

View your balance:
To view your Gift Card balance, go to birkenstock.co.nz, add an item to your cart and follow the checkout process. At the checkout page, you will see a Birkenstock Gift Card section. Enter your barcode number and click ‘Check Balance’ to view your card balance. Alternatively, our Birkenstock store can check your balance, either in person or over the phone.

Returns:
You cannot return or cancel your Birkenstock Gift Card after it is dispatched. Purchasers who wish to cancel or re-direct a Gift Card purchase prior to its delivery to a recipient should contact us immediately via phone call.

Lost or stolen gift cards:
Gift Cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Gift Cards have cash value and should be safeguarded accordingly.

Limitations:
You may not use a Gift Card to purchase other Gift Cards. Birkenstock Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash or returned for a refund. Unused balances are not refundable or transferrable. Birkenstock is not responsible for lost or stolen cards. Card value expires 24 months after date of issue.

Loyalty dollars:
Birkenstock Loyalty Dollars can be earned on the purchase of a Gift Card. Loyalty Dollars are not earned when using a Gift Card as payment for full-priced items.

Delivery information and requirements for gift card purchasers:
Gift Cards may not be shipped to international addresses. All orders of Gift Cards are subject to a process that compares purchaser information provided on the website with information about the purchaser provided by the purchaser's financial institution. If there is a discrepancy, your Gift Card order may be delayed until it can be corrected. If you have concerns about your order, please contact Customer Support. Please refer to your order number, or be ready to supply your email address. We are not responsible for Gift Cards that are undeliverable or not received due to your failure to enter an accurate physical address or email address for the recipient. Please check to make sure the address of the recipient is correct and contact us if you suspect the recipient did not receive his/her Gift Card.

Personalised messaging:
If you wish to add a personal message, add your message into the textbox provided. The recipient will receive the personalised message in their email. Alternatively visit us in store to purchase your Gift Card, and write your personalised message on the Gift Carrier. Personal messages are limited in length to the space provided on the presentation carrier Gift Card.

Acceptance of terms and conditions:
Purchasing a Gift Card constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions, which may change at any time.

BIRKENSTOCK REWARDS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Birkenstock Dollars are given to a Member based on the final transaction value (which includes GST) (i.e. if a member uses Birkenstock Dollars, such as $50 off when you spend $150, the customer’s final transaction is $100, then Birkenstock Dollars will be awarded based on a $100 spend).

2. Birkenstock Dollars can take up to 24 hours before they are available for redemption.

3. At its sole discretion, Birkenstock may update a member account with Birkenstock Dollars as a consequence of a purchasing behaviour, incentive and/or promotional activities.

4. Birkenstock reserves the right to withdraw, cancel or vary the Rewards without notice and at any time.

5. Rewards cannot be sold, transferred or assigned and are not redeemable for cash or any other like instruments - including (but not limited to) gift vouchers and credit notes.

6. Birkenstock reserves the right in its absolute discretion to exclude certain items, quantities and promotions from being redeemed using Rewards.

7. All Dollars will expire after 24 months of account inactivity. Birkenstock reserves the right to change the expiry date of any Reward at any time without prior notice.

8. Birkenstock Dollars cannot be used or earned in conjunction with any other discount or promotion codes.

9. Only Dollars from one Birkenstock Rewards account can be used per transaction.

10. Birkenstock Dollars are earned with every purchase (excluding sale items). Birkenstock Dollars earned equate to 10% of each purchase. (i.e. a $150.00 purchase earns $15. Birkenstock Dollars which may be used on your next purchase).

11. You must have a valid and unique email address to join Birkenstock Rewards. Members can join online at birkenstock.co.nz or in any of our Birkenstock stores.

12. Birkenstock requires your name, email address, and cell phone details to activate an account. Members can then add personal information and password online at birkenstock.co.nz.

13. If a purchase is refunded, your Birkenstock Dollars from the purchase will be deducted.

14. If you checkout without creating an account (i.e. as a guest) you will not get Rewards Dollars for that purchase as these are only rewarded for being a Birkenstock Rewards Member. You need to have a Birkenstock Account online to get your Birkenstock Dollars.
